 There will be a Captain’s Council meeting on Thursday during DSB.  All Captains for the 2016-2017 school year will receive passes.


 On Wednesday, September 28th, the Student Advisory Council will be hosting its first Civics Day assembly for the senior class.  The purpose of this assembly is to support the Massachusetts State Student Advisory Council’s initiative to expose Holliston High School students to the workings of the American political system in order that they increase their civic responsibilities. Although the Student Advisory Council works in relative anonymity, they are elected by the student body and are a part of our student government. 


Students that have registered for the PSAT and have not picked up a practice booklet may do so in Guidance.


Destination Imagination applications and instructions are available in the main office.  The deadline is Friday is October 7th.


Health screenings will take place in the nurse’s office on Monday, September 26th and Tuesday, September 27th.

Grade 10 students will report when they are called on Monday morning for height, weight, vision and hearing screening.  Please remember to wear your contact lenses or bring your eyeglasses for the vision screening.

Grade 9 Postural (SCOLIOSIS) screening will take place following the Grade 10 screening.  Grade 9 girls are reminded to wear a sport or tank top to facilitate the screening.  If you have any questions, please contract Mrs. Coleman in the nurse’s office.


There will be a GSA meeting on Wednesday, September 28th right after school in Room 108. All are welcome!


Anyone interested in working on the yearbook this year should attend our first meeting on Tuesday, September 27th in Room 302.

All seniors are reminded that Senior portraits MUST be submitted by October 14th through the link on the yearbook page of the school website.


The Sixth Annual Tim’s Trot will be on Saturday, October 1 at the High School.  It’s sure to be another day of fun and community as we gather to celebrate Tim along a 1.9 mile run or walk course.  Tim’s Trot t-shirts and goodie bags will be given to all participants and Smitty’s ice cream will be served.  This year online registration is available for the first time.  Register BY today and the cost is just $20.  After that, registration will increase to $30 including day-of registration.


This year's Homecoming Dance is on Friday, September 30th from 7 - 10 PM. The cost to enter the dance is $10.00 at the door with a HHS student ID.  It's a jungle theme this year, so be creative, but please no masks.  See you there!


Over the next 2 weeks, you will be receiving a pass for senior seminar with your guidance counselor. Each senior seminar is made up of 2 sessions. Students must bring their own device to the seminars and should make sure they know how to access Naviance and their Common Application account.
