COURSE SELECTIONS

Attention all Students:  Course selections are due Friday to your first block teachers.

AIR FORCE VISIT

There will be a representative here from the Air Force here on Thursday, March 17th from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. outside the Cafeteria.

ATTENTION HOLLISTON HIGH SCHOOL

Next month, freshman, sophomores and juniors will be voting to elect two student representatives from the Sophomore class for the State Student Advisory Regional Council for the 2016-17 school year.  The SSARC is a group of elected students throughout Massachusetts who are helping make decisions about state educational policy and student rights. 

Anyone in the class of 2018 interested in running for this position should see Mr. Bernstein in Room 619 by the end of the day Friday for information on the SARC and nomination forms."  

DESTINATION IMAGINATION

·        Holliston DI is excited to announce that our Regional Tournament (Region 7) will be taking place this Saturday at the Holliston High School. We have 3 high school teams competing from Holliston!  

Our Region will host a total of 80 teams from Holliston, Millis, Hopkinton, Hopedale, Medfield, Milford, and Ashland.

In additional news, in last week's Region 8 Tournament held at Wayland High School, the team consisting of Ariana Ameli, Ryan Cahill, James Crews, Abby Meltzer, and Kent Perlmutter came in first place in the Improvisational Challenge and will be moving onto the State Tournament at WPI on Saturday, March 26. Please make sure to congratulate them!

WHHB

WHHB will meet after school TODAY in Room 605.  All members or interested students should attend.

BEST BUDDIES

TODAY, Best Buddies is having a Scavenger Hunt around the school from 2-3.  We will meet in Room 305.

PIT CREW

Attention students: HHS is forming a new student-run tech support team called the HHS PIT Crew.  We are looking for girls and boys grade 9-12 to help us get the PIT Crew started this spring.  The PIT Crew will meet daily during DSB to help teachers and students with their technology-related needs, and PIT Crew members will be trained in basic computer troubleshooting and repair.  If you are interested, come to an informational meeting in Room 303 during DSB on Thursday, March 17, or see Mr. Reeve in Room 404.

SENIOR SHOWCASE

Senior Showcase tickets will be on sale starting TODAY during all three lunches.  Tickets are $10. 

ImPACT

ImPACT testing has been rescheduled for after school TODAY in Room 311.  Athletes that need to take it can reschedule with Ms. Siglin via email or in person in the athletic training room.

ALL TERM 4 INTERNS

All Term 4 interns please report to the auditorium TODAY during DSB for a mandatory Internship meeting.

LEO’S CLUB

There will be a Leo’s Club meeting after school this Thursday in the teacher’s café. 

DROP-IN

Drop-in will be open after school on Thursday, March 17, 2016.  All are welcome!

COMMUNICATION SCIENCES HONORS (TV Media)

Anyone interested in taking the Communication Sciences Honors (TV Media) course next year must sign up outside of Room 308 to receive the application.  All applications are due by Friday, March 18th.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Chestna.

ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB

The Environmental Club is hosting the bag2school fundraiser.  Bring in old clothes, shoes, handbags or jewelry and drop them off in one of the boxes by the main office, the town hall or town library.  By recycling your old items you can help limit landfill use.

BEST BUDDIES

Students interested in attending the Best Buddies Prom should return their permission slip to Mrs. Ryan in Room 409 along with their payment.  March 30th will be the last day to accept permission slips.

GRADE 10 MCAS ENGLISH EXAM

Attention Grade 10 Students:  The Grade 10 English Language Arts Exam will be on March 22, 23 and 24th.  Please check the posters outside the café and the library for your testing location, dates and times.

FALL MUSICAL DVDs

DVDs of the Fall Musical, “Into the Woods” are available for purchase in the main office.  Come pick-up a copy.

GUIDANCE

AP Registration forms are due in Guidance by March 23rd; otherwise, a late fee will be assessed.  Please get your registration forms to Guidance as soon as possible.
