HEALTH SCREENINGS

 

Health Screenings will take place in the nurse’s office on Tuesday, September 25th and Wednesday, September 26th.  

 

Grade 10 height, weight, vision, and hearing screenings will take place on Tuesday.  Please remember to wear your contact lenses or bring your eyeglasses for the vision screening.


Grade 9 Postural (SCOLIOSIS) Screening will take place on Wednesday.  Grade 9 girls are reminded to wear a sport or tank top to facilitate the screening.  If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Olson in the nurse’s office.

 

STUDENT FOCUS GROUPS


Any students looking to share their opinions about HHS and work together to make this school the best it can be are encouraged to participate in the monthly Student Focus Groups with Ms. Bottomley.  Groups take place during DSB and After School depending on students’ schedules. If you are interested in participating, please stop by the main office and sign up. The first meetings will be held September 25th in Room 303.


ENIGMA CLUB


If you’re interested in joining the Literary Magazine, come to our first meeting on Wednesday, September 26th in Mr. Murphy’s room, 601.


DROP IN GROUP


Drop in group will start this Thursday in Mr. Lack’s room, 403


ART CLUB


Come to Art Club this Thursday, September 27th.  Marke art and hang out in a creative community. All are Welcome!


ART CLUB PRESENTS:  TECH & HAND INNOVATORS CLUB


Are you interested in apparel design?  Shoes, T-shirts, merch? How about video game art, website design or pixel art?  Want to learn more about 3D printing? Mr. Shiff has the perfect club for you. It’s like art club but incorporates technology, printmaking, and other types of design.  Find out more at our first informational meeting Tuesday at 2:10 p.m. in the computer lab, Room 311.

HOMECOMING

 

Please note there will be NO access to the locker rooms tonight unless you are playing or performing in the game.  Please make sure you retrieve any items that you may need prior to the end of the school day.

GIRLS AND BOYS CROSS COUNTRY


Come support the girls and boys cross country teams TODAY as they race Westwood on their new home course. Girls’ race starts at 3:30 and the boys’ race will follow.

GOLF TEAM


The golf team earned a victory against Norwood yesterday.  Led by junior, Jacob

Goldberg and senior, Shane Lunny, the team won by one stroke in the heated match up.  Aidan Jewett sealed the match with a 41 in the last group.

The Holliston wrestling team will be starting mornings before school lifts this week at 6am in the weight room on days that school is in session. The lift will go from 6am to 7am. All student are welcome to attend.

The Holliston wrestling team will be starting morning before school lifts next week at 6am in the weight room on days that school is in session. The lift will go from 6am to 7am. All student are welcome to attend.  


BOYS’ CROSS COUNTRY


Congrats to the Boys Cross Country team on their 23-33 win over Medfield to start the fall season. They will be home Tuesday against Westwood, starting line on the Softball field at 3:30pm.

CAFETERIA


The cafeteria has opened an additional line to serve grab & go salads, sandwiches and power pack lunches. Hot food will be offered from the same line as last year. Entrances to the lines are from the first door where you entered last year for cold food & from the door on the far end of the cafeteria for our hot options. Signs are posted. In addition we are offering yogurt smoothie lunches with a warm pretzel from the snack area.
