ATTENTION SENIORS


This is a reminder that all obligations must be satisfied in order to receive your cap and gown.  Obligations include, outstanding books, chromebooks, sports and activities fees, as well as the graduation survey in Naviance. If you have any questions with regard to the Naviance survey, please see your counselor.


BASKETBALL


There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing boys’ basketball on Tuesday, May 28th at 2:30 p.m. in Room 512.  Please contact Mr. Baker with any questions.


CROSS COUNTRY


There will be an information session on Thursday, June 4th for boys interested in Cross Country at 2:15 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Meet Coach Ladd and captains to hear about summer training and the fall schedule. More details can be found at www.hollistonxctf.com

MCAS


All Grade 10 students will take the Math MCAS exam on Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22.  Please check the posters outside the cafeteria and library for your testing location. Be sure to bring your Chromebook fully charged and your power cord both days. Bring your own calculator on Wednesday.  Any questions, please ask at the main office.


NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY


There will be a bin in the lobby to collect new donated school supplies for homeless kids in Massachusetts.  We are looking for new backpacks, pencils, erasers, glue sticks, pencil sharpeners, crayons, markers and more.  Help out kids who can’t afford supplies for the next year!


SENIOR PICNIC


On Wednesday, May 22, 2019 there will be a picnic for all seniors in the cafeteria starting at 1:00 p.m.

Early Dismissal Permission Slips are now available in the main office.  All forms are due no later than Wednesday, May 15th.


PASSION PROJECT


Please check your email about the Passion Project.  Those that signed up with ideas or willingness to lead a session received an email last week.  Let us know, by replying to the email, if you are interested in helping out!


CLASS OF 2022


The Class of 2022 will be holding its fundraiser on Thursday, May 9th here at the high school. The event is a faculty karaoke showcase, starting at 6:30 at night. You will be able to buy tickets during lunch for a chance to choose what song your favorite teachers will sing. There will also be food and lawn games. See you there.


1ST ANNUAL BILL WECHSLER 5K WALK/RACE FOR CURE FOR ALS


Holliston High School’s National Honor Society will be hosting the 1st annual Bill Wechsler 5K Walk/Race to Find a Cure for ALS in memory of Bill Wechsler, who passed away earlier this year. Join us Saturday May 11th at 9:30 A.M. at the Adams Middle school for a fun community event that will benefit Massachusetts General Hospital! Registration can be found on the Holliston High School website. Sports teams that register together will get $5 per person!

Permission slips for the Senior class trip, Spirit of Boston, must be returned no later than Friday, May 10th and can be turned in to Ms. Rivera, Ms. Chestna or the main office.

Presenter Forms

If you choose to have a presenter hand you your diploma, you and the presenter must complete the Diploma Presenter form available in the main office.  The form must be completed and returned to the main office no later than Friday May 10th.

As a reminder, the presenter must be a current or retired Holliston School department employee.

Auditions

 

Auditions are being held Wednesday, May 8th in Room 108 for any senior interested in trying out for the graduation musical performances.  Please come to the main office to sign up for a date and time.

We serve the macaroni and cheese and either roasted or barbecue chicken and you choose the rest. Bacon, bread crumbs jalapeños and lots of other delicious toppings. GIRLS’ TRACK

Congratulations to the girls’ track team for placing 3rd overall at Saturday’s Division 3 Relays.  A special congrats to high jump for taking 1st, discus for taking 2nd, shot put for taking 3rd, and distance medley for taking 4th and breaking the school record with a 13:23:01.

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD MURAL

Any students that attend art club after school today will have the option to work on the To Kill A Mockingbird mural outside the cafeteria. Want to find out more?  Come to art club after school in room 403. You do not have to be a member of Art Club to participate, and Art Club members are not required to participate. This event is not replacing Art Club, and Art Club will still be running as usual.  See Mr. Shiff during the day with any questions you have.

On Friday, freshman, sophomores and juniors will have the opportunity to elect two student representatives from the sophomore class for the State Student Advisory Regional Council for the 2019-20 school year.  The SSARC is a group of elected students throughout Massachusetts who are helping make decisions about state educational policy and student rights. The ballot will be available on your class Google Classroom and the HHS Webpage.
