AP EURO STUDENTS

Any AP Euro student that missed the meeting on Thursday, please see Ms. Mills or Ms. O’Brien before the end of the year to get your summer work.

AP LANGUAGE AND COMPOSITION

Students taking AP language and composition next year should see Mr. Bailey or Mrs. Frost to pick up summer reading assignments.

AP PHYSICS 1

Any students planning to take AP Physics 1 in the fall, please pick up your mandatory Summer Work packet in Room 313.

AP PSYCHOLOGY

Any student planning to take AP Psychology in September should see Ms. Lasher in Room 617 to receive their summer assignment.

HONOR ROLL

Honor Roll Gold and Silver certificates will be available  in the Guidance Office TODAY for pickup.

CALENDAR

Just as a reminder - Monday is a D day, Tuesday is an A day with A and B exams, Wednesday is a B day with C and D exams and Thursday will be four short blocks.

STUDENT  LOCKERS

Next week there will be trash bins around the building for students to empty lockers before the summer.    Otherwise everything will be thrown away.

LIBRARY

All books are due back in the library TODAYPlease check your school email to see if you have anything due.

CHROMEBOOKS

The time is almost here to collect the school-issued Chromebook, chargers, and cases. 9th and 10th graders have two options for turning in the Chromebook equipment:

    • Option 1 is to turn it in during the special advisory period scheduled for the end of DSB next Monday, June 19.
    • Option 2 is to bring it to the library on either Final Exam day

Any juniors with Chromebooks should also bring them to the library before the end of exams.

FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION

Fall sports registration is now open.  If you are interested in playing a fall sport, please register as soon as possible.  Please make sure your physical is up-to-date with the nurse and that you have paid your registration fee.  This will avoid any delay in participating.

FIELD HOCKEY

There is a field hockey meeting after school TODAY in Room 501 at 2:15 p.m.  All returning players and anyone interested in playing this season please attend.  Summer workouts and the Bentley College summer camp will be discussed.

CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS FOR FALL 2017

Tryouts will be held TODAY 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the High School Gym.

Anyone who won a gold or silver certificate at the underclassmen awards night, please pick up your award in the cafeteria.

MCAS

Attention Grade 8 Semester 2 Biology Students, the Biology MCAS will be given on Monday and Tuesday, June 5th and 6th.  Please see posters outside the café and library for testing location.

CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS FOR FALL 2017

Tryouts will be held on Monday, June 5th through Friday June 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the High School Gym.

LIBRARY

The library will be closed today at 1:30 as will remain closed after school.

YEARBOOK STAFF

Anyone interested in joining the yearbook staff next year should attend a brief informational meeting on Tuesday June 6th at 2:10 in room 302.

All obligations, including books, MUST  be cleared up prior to graduation rehearsals.  If you have not cleared up your obligations, you will not be able to pick up your cap and gown or graduation tickets.

Please remember to do your graduation survey in Naviance.  This is considered a senior obligation and must be done to receive your cap and gown.

GRADUATION – MUSICAL AUDITIONS

Anyone interested in performing at graduation, auditions will be held TODAY at 2:15 in the band room.  Please come to the main office to sign up.

PROM

Students who plan on being dismissed early from school on the day of the Prom must pick up a Dismissal Permission Slip from the Main Office.  Permission Slips must be signed by a parent or guardian and are due in the Main Office no later than TOMORROW.

Prom table and bus seating will be posted throughout the week in the main lobby starting TODAY.   Anyone attending prom please check the roster in advance.

Reminders:

Students attending Prom – remember that you and your guest need to bring a photo ID with you the night of Prom.  

No backpacks, bags or containers will be allowed.  Only small purses and they will be subject to search prior to boarding the buses.

STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICER (SAC)

Any student who would like to run for one of the following positions:  Class Officer, Student Council Officer or a Student Advisory Council position, must fill out the required form on the Holliston High School web page.  Additionally, anyone running for a Class office position MUST turn in a speech to Mr. Quindley by Thursday, May 18th.  Speeches must be submitted via email @quindleyd@holliston.k12.ma.us. 

BOOK DRIVE

Have any new or gently used books?  Drop them off in the collection box in the library.  They will be donated to a local early literacy program.  We are preferably looking for books for ages 0-5.

MCAS – Math


Attention Grade 10 Students:  the MCAS Math exam will be held TODAY and Wednesday, May 17.  Please check the posters outside the café and library for your testing location.  Remember to bring your own calculator on Wednesday.

TO ALL ART SAVES LIVES PARTICIPANTS:

You must come to Mr. Lack in order to get a permission slip (signed by a parent/guardian) and your pass for the day of Art Saves Lives… (This pass must be on your person the day of Art Saves Lives).  You MUST do this as soon as possible before May 18th… That is the day of Art Saves Lives!  You must also get your shirt before the day of Art Saves Lives… Thanks for everyone’s cooperation!

LOBBY HOURS

Administration will be holding Lobby hours from 2:15-3:00 pm on TODAY.  This is an opportunity for students and staff to stop by and chat with members of the administrative team. Hope to see you this afternoon!
