  • The goal of the Holliston Public Schools Health Services Department is to promote an optimum level of wellness and remove health related barriers in order to enhance the education process. We believe that health and education are interrelated and that a healthy student is the best learner. 
  • The HPS Health Services Department is committed to providing basic health services, health promotion and prevention of disease, health maintenance and a safe and caring environment for all students.
  • The Health Services Dept. provides basic health services that include first aid, management of emergencies, health teaching and counseling, administration of medications and treatments, assistance in management of chronic illness, infectious disease control, monitoring of immunizations and required physical exams, annual vision, hearing, scoliosis and growth screening programs and staff training in CPR, Allergy Management Programs, Epinephrine Administration Programs,  and Standard Precaution Programs.
****Reminder to Parent/Guardians of Grade 10 Students RE: Physical Exams: 
According to Massachusetts Law, (M.G.L. Chapter 71, Section 57), all Grade 10 students are required to have a physical performed between March 1, 2019 and June 1, 2020.  If your child has had a recent exam, please send a copy of the document to the HHS Nurse.  You can also fax your child's exam to FAX 508-893-6053.  

HHS 2019-2020 Athletics Physical Exams:
It's that time of year to turn in updated physical exams for the HHS Sports Programs. All physicals must be turned in to the School Nurse.  Physical exam documents may dropped off at the Holliston High School Main Office or may be faxed to HHS School Nurse at 508-893-6053.  Please write your grade and sport on the top right hand corner of the document.  The Athletic Department, coaches, Athletic Trainer, and Athletic Director do not accept the physical exam documents.

Rule 56.1 from the MIAA handbook (http://www.schools.net/membersnew/documents/MIAA/Rule-56-1clarification.pdf).  "Written doctor medical clearance notes do NOT take place of an annual physical exam. MD clearance notes in lieu of physical exams will NOT be accepted."

There have been cases of the flu reported in all of Holliston schools.  Students are experiencing fever, headaches, cough, sore throat, congestion, and sore muscles.  Please DO NOT send your child to school if he or she has a fever over 100 AND must be fever free for 24 hours.  Remind your child to wash their hands frequently.  Please click here for the CDC's The Flu - A Guide For Parents.
