  • The goal of the Holliston Public Schools Health Services Department is to promote an optimum level of wellness and remove health related barriers in order to enhance the education process. We believe that health and education are interrelated and that a healthy student is the best learner. 
  • The HPS Health Services Department is committed to providing basic health services, health promotion and prevention of disease, health maintenance and a safe and caring environment for all students.
  • The Health Services Dept. provides basic health services that include first aid, management of emergencies, health teaching and counseling, administration of medications and treatments, assistance in management of chronic illness, infectious disease control, monitoring of immunizations and required physical exams, annual vision, hearing, scoliosis and growth screening programs and staff training in CPR, Allergy Management Programs, Epinephrine Administration Programs,  and Standard Precaution Programs.

Reminders to Parent/Guardians and Students Grade 10 Parents/Guardians RE: Physical Exams 
 PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS are required by Massachusetts Law, (M.G.L. Chapter 71, Section 57). During the high school years, a physical is required for Grade 10 students with results on file by June 1. For students entering GRADE 10 in the Fall of 2017- A physical exam dated between March 1, 2017 and June 1, 2018 is mandated by state law. If your child has had a recent exam please send a copy of the document to the HHS Nurse.

HHS Fall 2017 Athletics-Physical Exams
It's that time of year to turn in updated physical exams for the HHS Fall Sports Programs. All physicals must be turned in to the School Nurse. If your child is currently in 8th grade entering Grade 9 in August 2017, please send a copy of the current exam to the Robert Adams Middle School Nurse, Catherine Porcello, RN, before the end of the school year(16-17). After June 22, 2017, Grade 9 physical exams may be delivered to the High School Nurse via the HHS Main Office or by Fax.
All HHS students' physical exams need to be turned in to the HHS Nurse, or the HHS Main Office. Fax 508-893-6053. Please write your grade and sport on the top right hand corner of the document.
The Athletic Department, coaches, Athletic Trainer and Athletic Director do not accept the physical exam documents.

MIAA Rule 56.1 Clarification"Written doctor medical clearance notes do NOT take place of an annual physical exam. MD clearance notes in lieu of physical exams will NOT be accepted.
